1st Commute of 2012

It was to be a beautiful day.  I left my house at 5:45 just as dawn was approaching. The air was cool with temps in the 50's. My 2nd mile from home is on a busy 4 lane road with no shoulder. Fortunately, at that time, there were no cars on the road. I continued for a few more miles through suburbia. You could smell the coffee brewing as people were getting up. I was in the zone enjoying the morning quiet. The last 4 miles are on a paved bike path. Nice! I arrived ready for the day. 8 hours later with bright sunshine and temps reaching 80 I made my relaxing ride home. A great way to decompress.
